Laura Linney was one of the most renowned American actors of recent times. Her strong and vulnerable roles has made her a household famous. When she was a child, spending summers at her father's house, she developed an interest for the stage. After studying in Brown University for a while and then later, she attended Juilliard School to study acting. Following her graduation, she launched her Broadway career. A few years later, she was she was on television. Since then, she has appeared involved in numerous films, television plays and stage productions. In her professional career, she has won several awards, among them two Golden Globe Awards. Her nominations include five Tony Awards, and three Academy Awards nominations. But, in spite of her recognitions and awards, stage is where she's at and she'll continue to act on both the stage and on screen.
